Model poses underwater inches from deadly crocodiles!

Dance with death: Daredevil model swims with crocodiles
A fearless Italian model spent 10 hours in June swimming with crocodiles in a lagoon in the Gulf of Mexico - some 30 miles from the coast - which is home to over 700 American crocodiles.
In one extraordinary shoot, Roberta Mancino came face-to-face with a four-meter-long American crocodile.
The photography team captured some enchanting pictures of Mancino inches away from the predators, when the crocodiles become more comfortable in her presence as she tried to be nice.
Mancino said it has been a long-held dream for her to swim with crocodiles, but no one dared to fund her project before “because it is so dangerous.”
The Banco Chinchorro atoll reef is regarded as one of the best places in the world to see American crocodiles, where they can grow to between 2.5 and 4 metres long.
Diving companies provide crocodile-watching trips for people, but most would refrain from coming so close to the enormous reptiles.

Video Shows 9 Police Officers Beating a Teen After Jaywalking

At 6:52 a.m. Tuesday, a 16-year-old in Stockton, California, was told to stop walking in the street by a law enforcement officer, according to the Stockton Police Department. After a verbal altercation between the two, the teenager was beaten, thrown to the ground and arrested by nine officers. The climax of the interaction was caught on camera.
SPD's account of the incident involves the teenager using obscene language toward the officer and refusing to leave the bus lane he was walking in, at which point the officer tried to apprehend the young man.
"He was still in the bus lane, so he was actually trespassing. That's why the officer went over there to legally detain him," SPD information officer Joe Silva told Mic. When the teen resisted, according to Silva, the officer pushed back and the pair struggled over the officer's baton. This part of the incident cannot be seen in the footage available.

As the situation escalates, a passerby can be heard yelling, "It's a fucking kid! Get off him, he's been jaywalking. Leave him alone, he didn't do anything wrong." She then repeatedly yells, "It's a fucking kid!"
The officer calls for backup, and at least seven other officers can be seen arriving in the video to detain the unarmed teenager. They tackle him to the ground, handcuff him and take him away while he cries.

Silva told Mic the teen was "cited to his mother for resisting arrest and for the Stockton municipal code for trespassing." The teen will appear in juvenile court to face the charges. Silva added that if civilians did not resist arrest, officers would not have to use force. However, because the video begins after the officer has already physically engaged with the teen, it's unclear how the interaction actually began. But based on the footage available and the onlookers' response to the incident, it seems possible there were other factors at play. "The kid got stopped for 'jaywalking' when he barely stepped out of the bus he was 2 feet away from the sidewalk when the cop stopped him for 'jaywalking,'" Edgar Avendaño, who witnessed and recorded the incident, wrote in a Facebook post with the video. "The cop was telling him to take a [seat] but the teen kept walking to his bus but the cop kept grabbing his arm & the kid took off the cop's hand off his arm so the cop took out his baton & that's when I started recording." However, Silva suggested, so far, the officers are not internally suspected of wrongdoing. "Everything is under review," he explained. "The preliminary investigation shows they were in the right." Avendaño posted the video to Facebook shortly after the incident. At the time of publication, it had over half a million views.

Brazilian Transgender Woman Attacked by Police in Prison..

A 25-year-old transgender woman who is imprisoned at a Sao Paulo, Brazil, jail was attacked by police, who shaved her head and forced her to strip down before beating her, the Daily Mail reports. Veronica Bolina's face was left swollen and bruised. The woman is currently in jail for attacking a 73-year-old neighbor.
Pictures showing her face disfigured sparked outrage and concern for her safety as this is the third time she's been handled by officers in a violent way while being custody.

The police say other prisoners attacked Bolina when they saw her touching herself in a sexual manner and that officers attempted to stop the scuffle. The police add that she received the injuries while they were intervening.
Bolina has been moved to another facility where she has a cell to her self. The police say they are investigating the incident. In Brazil, police violence is an issue. There have been more than 11,000 people killed by law enforcement officers between 2009 and 2013, according to the Forum on Public Safety.

If these images did not leak online, who knows whether Bolina's story would have been heard and whether the prison would have been held accountable for her treatment.

3 Young Women Jailed in Russia for Twerking Next to Monument

Five women were found guilty of "hooliganism," including a 19-year-old who has been sentenced to 15 days in jail
MOSCOW (AP) — A court in southern Russia has sentenced three young women to brief jail terms for making a video showing them twerking next to a World War II memorial.
Russia celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Allies' victory in the World War II next month, an emotionally charged holiday the Kremlin has been using for propaganda purposes.
The sentencing in the Novorossiysk district court of a 19-year-old woman to 15 days in jail and two women in their 20s to 10 days comes after prosecutors launched a probe into a video showing a group of women twerking next to the memorial on the Black Sea. Twerking is a sexually provocative dance involving thrusting of the hips.
Prosecutors said in a statement Saturday that five women were found guilty of "hooliganism" and two of them were spared jail because of poor health. Hooliganism is the charge that sent two members of punk band Pussy Riot to prison for two years for an impromptu protest at Moscow's main cathedral in 2012.
Prosecutors in Novorossiysk also said they were pressing charges against the parents of one underage girl who was twerking with the others girls for "the failure to encourage the physical, intellectual, physiological, spiritual and moral development of a child."
This is a second twerking scandal in Russia in less than two weeks.
Investigators last week launched a probe into a dance school in the city of Orenburg after a YouTube video of female school girls dressed as bees and twerking in a sexually suggestive Winnie the Pooh routine sparked outrage. The dance school was temporarily shut down while officials in this southern city not far from the Kazakh border ordered an inspection of all dance schools in the region.

Miss Zimbabwe Loses Another Beauty Queen to Nude Photo Scandal

Zimbabwe has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to its beauty queens posing naked. For the second year in a row, the Miss Zimbabwe Trust has stripped the winner of the pageant of her crown over a nude photo scandal.

Emily Kachote, 25, was dethroned for "immoral behavior" after she admitted to posing nude for photos, which were leaked last month by her ex. The organization said in a statement Wednesday that she had violated an agreement in which contestants had to swear they have never posed naked, nor will they ever should they win.

Harare - Unlucky Miss Zimbabwe has been humiliated once again: she's been stripped of her title after nude photos of her were leaked, reported the Zimbabwean Herald newspaper.
Emily Kachote, 25, has shown "immoral behaviour", the Miss Zimbabwe Trust said in a statement.
Some Zimbabweans complained Kachote was "ugly" when she won the Miss World Zimbabwe contest in April.
"The Miss Zimbabwe executive board would like to inform the nation that it has decided to dethrone Miss Emily Kachote as Miss World Zimbabwe 2015," the statement said.
"Being in a relationship, sexual advances to anyone and any behaviour categorised as immoral by the Miss Zimbabwe Trust is grounds for instant disqualification and dethronement," the statement added.
Kachote, a financial advisor, had admitted the pictures, apparently leaked by an ex, were genuine. She said she'd hoped the man had deleted the pictures.
Last year's Miss Zimbabwe Thabiso Phiri was also caught up in a nude photo scandal. The Trust insists she resigned of her own accord.
"I wonder if they will even find a Miss Zimbabwe next year?" a reader of the official Herald online commented.

Drake Crashes Future's Toronto Show He brings Norm Kelly, North America's hippest politician, with him.

Students at Ryerson University were already stoked that Future decided to perform at their freshman orientation, but then Drake dropped by to help his friend and collaborator get the crowd all the way turnt up. What's more, the city's native son brought a very special guest to inspire the Class of 2019: Toronto city councillor Norm Kelly, also known as the most down dude in North American politics.

After the 73-year-old got the crowd hyped, Drake ran through his verse on "Where Ya At,” before getting into his tracks “Energy,” “Back to Back,” and “Know Yourself.” Unfortunately, there was no big announcement from him and Future about those mixtape rumors that have been spreading like wildfire across the internet the past few days.

Still, watching Mr. Kelly adorably telling students, "y'all turn up!" was a gift in itself. See the fun in the clip below.

A Creature Bit A Great White Shark In Half. When I See What Bit It? This Is Terrifying!

Sharks are pretty terrifying creatures if you're a human or fish. Remarkable, yes, fascinating, for sure, but terrifying? Absolutely! Just this weekend I watched a movie called The Beach. The film was from 2000 and starred a young Leonardo Dicaprio. Point of the story is these people live remotely on a paradise beach, until a huge shark comes and eats two of their friends. Like I said, terrifying. Here you will see some of that scary in play because a shark bit another shark IN HALF! I kid you not.

Miss Colorado Talks About Nursing Instead Of Singing For The Crown!!

Last week, Miss America hosted its second night of preliminaries in Atlantic City. For the talent competition, most contestants showcased their singing, dancing, and musical talents while donning their sparkly, glittery costumes — but Kelley Johnson walked out on stage in her nurse’s scrubs. Kelley is Miss Colorado, and she decided to forgo the traditional talent routine. Instead, she delivered a unique monologue about her experience as a nurse, and with an elderly Alzheimer’s patient. The results are unexpected, original, and touching.
“Every nurse has a patient that reminds them of why they became a nurse in the first place. Mine was Joe,” she begins. Kelley is a beauty pageant titleholder from Windsor, CO, who was crowned Miss Colorado 2015. Her platform is “The Health Initiative PLUS: Prevent, Live, Uncover, Study.” She is a 2015 graduate of Grand View University where earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, graduating as valedictorian of her nursing class. Today, Kelley is a registered nurse.
Nurses are the ones who make the most direct contact with the patient. They’re the advocates, the planners, and the glue that holds it all together. Regardless of whether Kelley wins the Miss America crown this year, she’s already made her mark in a wonderful way. Watch her incredible monologue below, and please SHARE it with your friends on Facebook!

Browns forced to use Johnny Manziel and he immediately reminds everybody how exciting he can be

After a tumultuous rookie season and an off-season that included time in a rehab clinic, it looked like the Cleveland Browns were ready to move on from Johnny Manziel and turned to veteran journeyman Josh McCown to be their starting quarterback.
It was unclear when, if ever, Manziel would get another shot with the Browns. That shot came much sooner than anybody expected when McCown left the first half of Game 1 of the 2016 season with a head injury.
In came Manziel and he immediately reminded everybody just how exciting he can be on the football field when he has his head on straight.
On his first drive, Manziel scrambled for a 25-yard run when his pocket collapsed. The play was nullified by a penalty for a chop block, but the run was impressive and something few quarterbacks in the NFL can do.
After the penalty, Manziel then hit Travis Benjamin in stride down the left sideline.
Amazingly, for all Manziel has been through in the NFL, this was his first career touchdown pass and it was a beauty, going for 54 yards.

Serena Williams US Open semi-final defeat a 'monumental shock'

Serena Williams fell victim to one of the biggest shocks in tennis history at the US Open, said two-time champion Tracy Austin.
Williams, 33, was two wins from completing the calendar Grand Slam but lost 2-6 6-4 6-4 to unseeded Italian Roberta Vinci in the semi-finals.
"This is monumental. It's a shocker," Austin told BBC Sport.
"This is one of the biggest upsets in the history of tennis, because of what was on the line."
Williams went into Friday's semi-final on a 33-match winning streak in Grand Slams stretching back to Wimbledon 2014.
She had hoped to match Steffi Graf's 1988 sweep off all four majors in the same year, and was up against a player she had beaten four times without dropping a set.
Vinci, 32, is ranked 43 in the world and was playing in her first Grand Slam semi-final.

This is Not good at All San Franciscans Flip Anti-Chinese Graffiti Into Words of Support and Love

Someone has been spray-painting the phrase "No more Chinese" on various walls and buildings throughout San Francisco's Portola and Bay View neighborhoods in the last week.
Now, some locals are fighting back — and they're doing so in the most San Francisco way imaginable:

Culture blogger Angry Asian Man has documented a series of interventions where instances of the racist graffiti were painted over with a touch of what the city's been known for since at least the summer of '67: Love!
Seriously: In multiple places, "No More Chinese" was surreptitiously replaced with phrases like "[Heart] More Chinese" or simply "More Chinese!" — before promptly being scrubbed off by city workers and documented by police as part of an ongoing hate crime investigation.

This spate of graffiti comes less than a month after Twitch founder Justin Kan had the phrase "Fuck you Gook!" written in black marker on his garage in the Duboce Triangle neighborhood by a white, bearded stranger. The crime was caught on security camera, as Mic reported previously.
Justin's brother, Damien Kan, told Mic that he and his brother have since painted over their garage door using blackboard paint, and are planning to have children from a local school write uplifting messages over it.
"Turn that negative into a positive," Damien said.
Meanwhile: San Francisco continues to undergo a drastic series of demographic shifts precipitated by an influx of young tech professionals in recent years. According to SFist, by some estimates, the city's median rent prices jumped 13.5% in 2014, with the median one-bedroom apartment now going for $3,500 per month.
As the city becomes the go-to nesting zone for Silicon Valley's elite, intercultural conflict has arisen in spaces ranging from tech commuter buses' contested use of public transportation routes to the now-viral argument between Dropbox employees and local youth in the Mission district over the use of a soccer field.
The Portola district — where some of the graffiti was found — has long been framed as a "hidden gem" of San Francisco's southeast corner, home to an increasing Asian population that in 2009 constituted about half of the neighborhood, according to SFGate. The investigation into who is responsible for the graffiti is ongoing. Meanwhile, the rest of San Francisco continues to let love prevail.
UPDATE, Thursday, Sept. 10: San Francisco police late Wednesday arrested John Schenone, 62, and booked him on five counts of felony hate crime and five counts of felony vandalism in connection with the graffiti. He is currently being held in County Jail.

Did Floyd Mayweather break the rules before the Manny Pacquiao fight? Watch the Fact

Floyd Mayweather 'broke rules' before Manny Pacquiao fight

Floyd Mayweather did not follow the rules correctly when seeking approval for an intravenous drip before his victory over Manny Pacquiao, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) says.
The US Anti-Doping Agency (Usada) gave retrospective permission after Mayweather had the drip of saline and vitamins on the eve of his 2 May fight.
But the NSAC says only it could approve the drip, and not Usada.
Pacquiao wants a rematch, according to the AFP news agency.
Usada said it granted unbeaten American Mayweather, 38, a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for the infusion, in accordance with NSAC regulations.
But NSAC executive director Bob Bennett told BBC Sport: "Anyone should know worldwide, if you fight in the state of Nevada we are the sole authority for approving a TUE.
"Usada has been known historically as the premier performance-enhancing drugs-testing organisation and they have an outstanding record. But they do not have the authority to authorise a TUE to a fighter in the state of Nevada."

Soldiers Kicked Out Of The Military For Being Gay Deserve An Honorable Discharge — Why Aren’t They Getting It?watch full video

Now that gay people can serve openly in the US Military (and get legally married in all 50 states), the thousands of veterans who received dishonorable or “undesirable” discharges before the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT) in 2011 obviously deserve to have their discharges upgraded to “honorable.” So why hasn’t that happened yet?
Before Obama repealed DADT, it was illegal for gay people to serve openly in the US Military, and gay service members could be kicked out of the military for as little as a casual kiss. Before Bill Clinton put DADT into place in 1994, the military also aggressively conducted investigations, interrogations and sting operations aimed at outing and expelling any service member suspected of engaging in “homosexual activity.” The effects were devastating.

Matt Harvey will be limited in the playoffs after the Mets went to war with super-agent Scott Boras

Just as things were rolling for the New York Mets, the team hit a snag when they got into a spat with super-agent Scott Broas over star pitcher Matt Harvey's future.
During an interview with CBS's Jon Heyman, Boras said that Harvey was given a doctor-imposed limit of 180 innings this season in his first year back from Tommy John surgery. With 166 innings already under his belt, that would mean Harvey had about two more starts left this season. On the verge of their first playoff berth since 2006, Mets GM Sandy Alderson scoffed at the idea, saying the team may sit Harvey for a start to keep him fresh for the playoffs.
Alderson added that they weren't going to let Boras decide how the team would use Harvey.
Harvey then stepped into the drama when he was non-committal about whether he would pitch in the playoffs, noting he generally agreed with Boras. The next day he announced via The Players Tribune that he would indeed pitch in the postseason.

THIS WHAT ARSENAl STRIKER SAID AFTER BEING BOOED FOR FRANCE

he Gunners front man missed a host of clear-cut chances in Bordeaux as France laboured to a 2-1 win over Serbia

Olivier Giroud insists he has the mental strength to bounce back from his night to forget for France.
The Arsenal striker was jeered by his own fans as he missed a string of chances in France's 2-1 win over Serbia in Bordeaux on Monday.
Giroud was also booed off when he was replaced by Karim Benzema just after the hour to cap another disappointing outing for the 28-year-old.
Giroud has struggled for form this season, scoring just once in five games for the Gunners.
But he is refusing to let his woes damage his confidence and ahead of Saturday's clash with Stoke at the Emirates, Giroud said: "As a striker, what you get used to on a daily basis, it is to be applauded when you score goals.
“When the opposite happens, it's difficult. Everybody gets criticised at one point. That's not the first and surely not the last time it happens.
“I have the mental strength to bounce back. Now I am going to focus on working. I am everything but worried about that. I will bounce back.
“(Against Serbia) I wasn't very efficient. It is like it is. I cannot focus too much on it.

“I have to think about the victory of the team and the good form we are currently experiencing.
"I am going first, to enjoy our victory and then obviously I will have to correct a few things."
While France's fans vented their frustration at Giroud, Didier Deschamps leapt to his defence.

TANZANIAAFTER SIGNS NEW PETROLEUM BILL AWARDED SWALA ENERGY COMPANY ONE YEAR OIL DRILLING EXTENSION PERIOD IN TANZANIA!!

Swala Energy Limited (Swala) has recently announced that it has been awarded by the Tanzanian Ministry of Energy and Mining (MEM) with an extension period for oil drilling operations to start on February 20th, 2017 in Kilosa-Kilombero and Pangani licenses, central and northern regions of Tanzania.

The announcement was made in a press release dated August 30th, 2015 available on Australian Securities Exchange’s (ASX) website, where Swala also explained that the one-year extension period awarded is set to be deducted from the four-year extension period that is currently approved and that would have started in February 20th, 2016.

Swala which currently holds a 50% stake in both licenses under a Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) approved by the Tanzanian Government in 2012, explained that since the sounding test’s program was completed in December 2014 and during the first half of 2015 it carried out the data’s interpretation together with the Tanzanian Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC), there was not time enough to confirm drilling locations and secure long lead-time items by February 2016.
Swala CEO, Dr. David Mestres Ridge, explained that the company is thankful with the flexibility shown by the MEM and the TPDC regarding to the project’s drilling timetable, and that it has appointed an Operations Manager responsible of the drilling campaign whom is in talks with a consultant to carry out the Environmental Impact Assessments and further analysis of the seismic data to optimize drilling locations.
Swala’s findings on Kilosa-Kilombero and Pangani licenses indicate that in the total area of over 34,000 square km, the reserves of oil are estimated to be over four billion barrels.
At a current price of around USD 46.05 per barrel according to Bloomberg, the reserves represent a total value of USD 184.2 billion, enough to cover the country’s demand on foreign energy for 63 years

Having finished serving the British army, Prince Harry Of Wales will carry out voluntary work in conservation in Africa, namely in Tanzania,  Namibia, South Africa and Botswana for a period of 3 months.

It is understood the Prince will spend the summer working with the Zoological Society of London and with experts in wildlife protection.

Details of Prince Harry’s schedule in Tanzania has not yet been made public.

A Coruna rally: Spain crash leaves six dead

Six people, including a pregnant woman, have been killed after a car veered off the road during a car rally in north-western Spain.
Police said that 16 people had been injured, some critically, after the accident at the A Coruna car rally.
Television footage showed the car crashing off the road into spectators in a cloud of dust. Police said that the car had been going too fast.
Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy expressed his condolences on Twitter.
He said the rally had been "tinged with mourning".
"My heartfelt condolences for those killed. I wish the injured a full and speedy recovery," he added.
The accident happened at around 20:00 (18:00 GMT) on Saturday evening near the town of Carral in the province of Galicia.
Local media reported that the drivers were not among the injured.
The rally has been suspended. More than 140 people had been participating in the rally, El Pais newspaper reports.
The authorities in the region of Galicia are now investigating.
