Tanzania takes part in Berlin tourism fair

Dar es Salaam. Over 100 representatives from the tourism industry in
Tanzania will participate in the international tourism exhibition (ITB) slated
for Berlin, Germany, beginning March 9.
A press statement issued by the
German Embassy in Dar es Salaam said yesterday said the 170 representatives
from Tanzania include hotels and tour operators.
ITB is the world’s leading travel
trade show with 10,000 exhibitors from 185 countries.
The statement stated the
representatives were seen-off yesterday by the German Ambassador to Tanzania,
Egon Kochanke, the Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Prof Jumanne
Maghembe and the Hyatt Kilimanjaro Hotel General Manager, Karl Marshall.
Amb.Kochanke wished success to the
Tanzanian business people:
“TITB is not only a fair to
penetrate the German market, it’s the platform for access to the European
market at large. More German tourists coming to Tanzania will foster bilateral
relations as well.”
