1997 was a big year for pop culture. The Spice Girls' "Wannabe" was ruling the airwaves, J.K. Rowling started the beginning of a little known series, "Harry Potter," and Tiger Woods became the youngest person to win the Masters at 21.
It was a pretty huge year. However, the biggest pop culture moment of 1997 was probably the release of the Oscar winning film, "Titanic."

As we all know, "Titanic" tells the story of the romance between Rose DeWitt Bukater, (Kate Winslet), and Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) aboard the ill-fated, R.M.S. Titanic. We have followed the careers of Kate, Leo and the brilliant Kathy Bates to their incredible successes. That begs the question, what has Rose's arrogant fiancé, Cal Hockley been up to?

For a refresher, he is what Cal (Billy Zane) used to look like back in 1997.
His full name, Caledon Nathan Hockley, was the character we all loved to hate. Cal tried to use his money to win Rose over, but it's safe to say that she was absolutely not having it. Remember that epic spitting scene between the two? After all, we have Jack and his spitting lessons to thank for that, and it's safe to say, fans enjoyed the scene.
