Just three days after Kristin Cavallari‘s brother was reported missing, his reality star sister made a heartbreaking announcement: Michael Cavallari was discovered dead.
“We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time,” the 28-year-old mother of three told E! News. “We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving.”
As RadarOnline.com reported, the 30-year-old San Clemente, California, native was last spotted at a Utah gas station on November 27. His Honda Civic was found abandoned off a nearby dirt road, the motor still running.
In an exclusive interview, Utah’s Grand County Sheriff Steven White told Radar that Michael was “driving across the country to Boston” before he vanished.
Unlike his entrepreneur sister, Michael led a seemingly troubled life checkered with arrests and jail stints. Four days before his disappearance, he was arrested for threatening a female friend with a shotgun.
He was also arrested for at least two DUIs in recent years.
