KENYAN PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA AND TANZANIAN COUNTERPART JAKAYA KIKWETE LAUNCHED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and Tanzanian counterpart Jakaya Kikwete launched construction project Taveta-Mwatate road which is expected to simplify transportation between the two countries.

This is the second project of the road linking Kenya and Tanzania, which was funded by the bank, the first being the Arusha-Namanga road / Namanga-Athi River.
President Kikwete said the road to Taveta-Mwatate used by residents of the north and north-western Tanzania transporting goods to Mombasa.
"It takes 14 hours from Arusha to Voi. But this building is completed, it will take only two hours and a half, so be very affordable for travelers and motorists, "he said.
